16 Days Campaign 2015

CHANAN celebrated 16 Days of Activism Campaign to End Gender Based Violence Against Women with the collaboration of Strengthening Participatory Organization (SPO). In the campaign two activities were conducted in Lahore. One of them was organized at Lahore College for Women University (LCWU) and second one was organized at Gender Studies Department of Punjab University. More than 300 young girls and 100 boys as well as govt. and civil society representatives actively participated in these activities. The activities were designed to motivate and to mobilize young people to value the women rights and to stand against gender based violence against women. Theater performances were presented in both activities to spread the message in a more impactful way. The theater performances were based on the role of youth to End Gender Based Violence Against Women. The activities were having some motivational sessions as well to sensitize people. All the activities were based on the advocacy for the women’s Human rights and to nurture the importance of women in our society.
