Women’s Action for Peace and Non-violence is a 3-year project, under its Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment Program. IFT is implementing the “People to People Diplomacy” component of the project in 25 districts, of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh, Balochistan, Punjab, Azad Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan. The second partner of this project, Khwendo Kor, is working in 3 districts of KP and two agencies of FATA. The said project seeks to capacitate NGOs in the selected districts to take up the agenda of women, peace and non-violence, work with local governments and home department (of Punjab) and facilitate NGOs and local governments to develop district action plans to protect women from violence.
