International Women’s Day 2020
The activity was conducted in University of Management and Technology UMT on 12th March 2020. The participants of the session were both male and female from different departments of university including Gender Studies, Social and Development department. Facilitator started session with the brief history of Women day, the campaigns and struggle of women around the world, he also shared the struggle of Pakistani women who really do their best for women rights movement in Pakistan
The activity was based on interactive style, a story and a group discussion, after detailed group discussion and written charts, both group presented it, than facilitator written down the characteristic of male and female, than facilitator compare the key findings with the help of whole group and elaborated in very simple way about the Gender vs Sex, the difference, role and responsibilities which our society, family and practices imposed us. All the student likes the story, method and the easiest way to know about the Gender vs Sex. Facilitator also discussed in detail via multimedia presentation about the division of labor, women’s economic contribution in families and society and how women and girls are important for family and society at large.
