CHANAN celebrated a Domestic Workers Day on 16th June 2014 at Ambassadors Hotel, Lahore. The objective of the program was to highlight the issues of domestic workers in front of civil society, social activists, media and sensitize policy makers to take some positive initiatives for the betterment domestic workers in Pakistan.
Domestic workers along with civil society representatives, religious and community key person participated in this program. The event was having many productive sessions and motivational speakers. During this program CHANAN screened a couple of motivational documentaries as well. CHANAN presented the Research Study on domestic workers issues and possible solutions in Pakistan.

The event was holding a panel discussion as well, so that they participants would interact with the panel more conductively. CHANAN distributed certificates to the Domestic Worker’s Group Leaders to appreciate them regarding their work and efforts to promote Domestic Workers’ Rights. The Activity was concluded by the Peace walk in front of the Press club to spread our efforts at a larger level and to strengthen the value of Domestic Workers Days.
